 (Talented Athlete Sponsorship Scheme)

Opportunity for funding for young players!

The Association is currently proposing TASS nominations to go forward onto the TASS scheme for 08/09. This is a programme that supports athletes with their training and competition costs.  To qualify, athletes must currently be over 16 and involved in an education programme. If you, or you know any one else in your club who is in education either full or part time and who you think has potential to make a GB (U22 or Senior) team within the next 4 years please send details to k.wall@gbwba.org.uk.

There are a limited number of places on this scheme available to the Association, so all applications will be vetted by the Performance Staff. 

TASS Eligibility

• Have a British passport.
• Must be 16 or older on 1st September 2008.  Upper age limit 35.
• Be undertaking a recognised education programme registered at an Institution in England.
• Be able to represent either the Great Britain or English representative team in their chosen sport.
• Current world-class funded athletes - Podium, Development, and Talent cannot receive additional funding from TASS.

The GBWBA application must be submitted by 30^th September 2008.  Nominations must be received no later than Friday 26th September to be considered.
