Welcome from Great British Wheelchair Basketball Association
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee I am delighted to welcome the World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in Birmingham.
The event will be organised by Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association and Birmingham City Council, and supported by the Regional Development, Advantage West Midlands, and UK Sport.
The National Indoor Arena has staged many World and European Sporting events and the World Wheelchair Basketball Championships represents the most prestigious event for Paralympic Sport to be stages in the UK before the London Paralympic Games in 2012.
We are proud that the IWBF chose Birmingham and the GBWBA to host this event.
