Final Preparations for Great Britain at two week mark.

With time ticking away and only two weeks to go till the World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in Birmingham, between the 7th July to the 17th July 2010.

Both the GB teams are in their final preparations as they look forward to taking on the best teams in the world at the National Indoor Arena. Twenty Two teams will attend the event coming from sixteen countries across the world, making it the biggest event next to the Paralympic Games in London 2012.

The GB men’s team who have recently won Gold in the BT Paralympic World Cup will be finishing off their preparations in warm up games against Japan, Italy and Canada. Great Britain Men’s Head Coach, Murray Treseder said, “We are looking forward to playing the World Championships in Birmingham it was clearly evident from the Europeans last year in Turkey what having the home crowds can do for a team and we hope the British public get behind the team and take advantage of playing on home soil.

The women’s team will warm up against Japan and the USA, head coach Garry Peel “We are looking forward to the tournament and experiencing especially playing at home.”
