Great Britain Women set to take on the Dutch
The Great Britain Women’s Wheelchair Basketball squad has been selected to play in the tournament in Holland, from Friday 19th March to Sunday 21st March 2010.
The British team will face the Dutch four times over the weekend this will provide them with an opportunity to prepare for the World Championships in July and it allows Head Coach, Garry Peel to introduce a number of new players into the squad.
Amy Conroy, Emily Scrivener and Pauline McDonald all come into the squad to travel to Holland in three weeks.
Head Coach, Garry Peel said “This a warm up tournament that we are using to prepare for the Worlds in July. We have introduced three new players who weren’t selected for the Europeans which will give them the chance to make their mark for selection in 2010.
“This might be the only tournament we have before naming the team for the World championships and our main goal for 2010 is playing as many games as possible and it will kick start our programme till July.”
