Aspire Force finish BOOST Women’s League Champions
After the final weekend (Sunday 7th February) of the Women’s League, Aspire Force were named Champions of BOOST Division One, with West Coast Tornadoes topping the Division Two League.
The top two teams of Division One, Aspire Force and Vixens will now go onto play in the first ever BOOST Cup Final, to be held at the National Championship Finals. At the finals there will also be a relegation/promotional decider between the top team of Division Two and the bottom team of Division One to ensure the strongest teams are playing in Division One next season.
Both matches will hopefully showcase the development of the women’s league and how its new two league structure has worked in the past season.
GBWBA Women’s Development Officer, Helen Goss said, “I’m really pleased with how the Women’s league has grown this season and how all the teams have developed."
"I’d like to say thank you and well done to all players, officials and coaching staff who have ensured that the women’s league has run smoothly and been a success this year."
"I’m looking forward to next season where I hope the league will become bigger and better, and offer all teams a very competitive league to play in.”
